We believe in a fresh experience for each visitor. Which is why all cottages have fully equipped kitchens, updated bathrooms, carpeting, and AAA bedding. Also, all the cottages contain propane heat. Please be aware that there is no central A/C inside the cottages, but we provide fans, and the island breeze is better than any A/C in existence!
The fully equipped kitchens have basic amenities such as microwaves, coffee makers (standard and Keurig), toaster, pots, and pans, etc. The island also has pure well water for drinking and cooking. Additionally, bedding sets are complete meaning they include comforters and pillows (sheets and pillowcases are not provided unless you opt for our bedding service).
To enable you to take full advantage of the outdoors and enjoy the one-of-a-kind view, each cottage has its own porch/deck, gas grill, picnic table, and lawn chairs. If you enjoy adventuring then feel free to use one of the courtesy kayaks on the island to travel on the St. Lawrence River. If you prefer to stay indoors, televisions are provided with DirectTV service and games such as board games and card games are also available.
There is plenty of boat dockage are available for all boats! 40 feet on the mainland and 200 feet at the island, where boats up to 26 ft. in length can be accommodated. There is private parking area as well for vehicles and boat trailers on the mainland. If the parking area is full, then there is a second parking space free for all visitors of Goose Bay.
All pets are welcome! But please be aware that we do have rules set in place so that everyone and their furry friends can fully enjoy the island. All pets are not to be left alone in the cottages for long periods of time. Every owner is expected to clean after their pets and the messes they make. Every owner is also expected to make sure that their pets do not destroy the cottages or the island (meaning no pet shall dig up dirt on the island). If your pet is outside, then it must be on a leash unless your family has booked all the cottages for that week. If there are any complaints about your pet then you will be asked to leave immediately without any refund on payments made. Additionally, if any damages or additional cleaning is required then there is an extra cleaning fee of $250.00 per cottage that requires cleaning. If this is not paid, then you will not be guaranteed any future reservations on the island. Please help us keep this beautiful island as clean as when you first arrived!
So what do you need to bring? Towels, pillowcases, sheets, clothing, food, and beverages. Our fully equipped cottages are ready to move into so come prepared to relax and enjoy your stay!
Don’t want the hassle of bringing towels, sheets, or pillowcases to the island? For an extra $150.00 (per cottage rented by you), we will provide linen such as towels (total of 6 per cottage plus $3.00 per extra towel after), sheets, and pillowcases. Just give us a call so we can mark this service down on your reservation and have these ready for you when you arrive! Additionally, there is a washer and dryer with detergents and drying sheets on the island so you can re-clean any towels or bathing suits/fishing gear. Please remember that this is an extra $150.00 fee (per cottage rented by you) added to your total reservation and must be paid with your 50% reservation deposit three weeks before your arrival. If you reserved one of the cottages through AirBnb, then this price is already included in the total amount on Airbnb; however, you are also subject to additional booking fees and cleaning service fees so please call us to avoid these other extra charges.
